Brad got "hooked" on scuba when he had his first opportunity to breath
through a regulator underwater when "Snuba Diving" (similar to scuba except
the tank float in a raft on the surface) in Hawaii seven years ago. He had
the opportunity to get his open water certification and has since taken a
class each year to have a good "excuse" to get wet and to keep improving his
diving skills. Brad has been married almost 20 years and has 4 kids to keep
him and his wife busy! Brad also works with the Boys Scouts of America and
giving these scouts the chance to experience the fun of diving.
His current PADI certifications are: Open Water, Advanced Open Water,
Rescue Diver, Enriched Air, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Navigation. He is
working to complete his Divemaster training and hopes to be finished in the
Fall of this year (2009).
He is a member of the Piedmont Diving & Rescue Association (PDRA) and dives
in the local quarries and offshore the coast of NC. Occasionally he also
dives in the calm, warm waters in Florida or the Caribbean. His favorite
dive destination is the Molokini Crater in Maui, Hawaii or wall diving in
the Turks and Caicos.
